Shishkid river is one of the world best taimen fly fishing destinations. River hold numerous large size fish eager to slam everything from surface squirrel imitations to large streamers.
Camp is located on the confluence of rivers Tengis and Shishkid in the northern Mongolia national park. Accommodation is in well insulated log cabins with large dining room, saloon and showers with warm water and kitchen that serves delicious European meals.
This part of Mongolia is absolute wildlife, no asphalt roads, no nearby civilization, no electricity, there is literally nothing that could influence fishing for trophy taimens and lenoks. Up and down river transfer is either by foot, horses or raft boats, all this with most experienced guides available.
There is also possibility to visit and have unique experience of meeting world last reindeer keepers – “Tsaatans people” in highlands above 2 500 m.
Season starts in the middle of June and ends in the middle of October. High season is from beginning of September till end of October.
